Management

A professional village manager with extensive experience in managing similar facilities to Cumberland Grove Village, has been engaged to manage the operational, maintenance, financial and property related issues relating to the village.

Security and Personal Care

All external doors are fitted with high quality security screen doors. All windows are fitted with key operated window locks. Hard-wired smoke detectors are fitted in all units and common areas.

A telephone handset with remote operated emergency messaging capability is provided. An emergency call system for emergencies requiring fire, ambulance or police attendance can be provided on a user pays basis.

User Friendly

Light switches and power points have been designed and located in the residences to be readily accessible and user-friendly. The hallways in each residence are 1500mm wide and doorways 920mm wide to allow residents to use mobility aids where/when needed.

Also included are air conditioning units and remote controlled garage doors. In addition, the units have been wired to allow the later connection of broadband internet access and Foxtel’s Pay-TV service.

Environmentally Friendly

The village features in-ground storm water detention tanks to allow the capture and use of storm-water run-off throughout the village to be recycled for toilet flushing. Street illumination features energy efficient lighting.

Energy control initiatives will provide energy efficient illumination while at the same time minimizing energy consumption and cost.

The Developer & Builder

The builder is RPF Building Pty Ltd and developer is RPF Projects Pty Ltd. Its principal, Reg Flannery, and his family have enjoyed a long association with the Shortland area and its many sporting and community groups and has a “feel” for what prospective residents of Cumberland Grove are looking for in terms of a quality yet affordable and serviceable living environment, both now but also into the future as residents’ needs evolve over time.

Community Facilities

A community centre is available for the exclusive use of residents of Cumberland Grove village. It features reverse cycle air conditioning, kitchen facilities, wide screen TV together with a Foxtel Pay-TV service. Internet facilities are also available to village residents in the community centre.

A bus service runs Monday, Wednesday & Friday to transport residents to the local shopping centres.
